Late Night Diapers
More of an activity than a competitive game, this provides the new parents with much-needed laughs and encouragement during those exhausting 3 AM diaper changes.
What you need
- A large box of newborn or size 1 disposable diapers
- Several permanent markers (Sharpies work best)
- A sign instructing guests what to do
- A nice basket or bin to hold the finished diapers
Setup
- Set up a table with the diapers spread out, the markers, and the instruction sign.
- The sign should read: 'Late Night Diapers: Write a funny quote, a joke, or words of encouragement on the back of a diaper for the parents to read during 3 AM changes!'
How to play
- Guests visit the station at their convenience throughout the party.
- They take a clean diaper and write a message on the back (the part that goes over the baby's bottom).
- Examples: 'I'm cute, but I stink!', 'You got this, Mom!', 'Oops, I did it again.', 'Dad's turn!'.
- Guests place their decorated diapers into the collection basket.
- The parents take the basket home and use them when the baby arrives.
Variations
- Advice Diapers: Ask guests to specifically write their best piece of parenting advice rather than jokes.
- Milestone Diapers: Have guests write down ages (e.g., 1 week, 1 month) and write a specific note for the parents to read when the baby reaches that age.
