Guess the Sweet Mess
Often called 'The Dirty Diaper Game', this visually unappealing but utterly delicious game is guaranteed to elicit groans and lots of laughter.
What you need
- 5-7 different types of chocolate candy bars (e.g., Snickers, Milky Way, Twix, Baby Ruth, Butterfinger)
- 5-7 clean, newborn-size disposable diapers
- A permanent marker
- Microwave-safe bowls
- Spoons for each candy bar
- Paper and pens for guests
Setup
- Number the outside of each diaper from 1 to 5 (or 7) with the permanent marker.
- Crush or break up each candy bar into a separate microwave-safe bowl. Microwave them for 10-20 seconds until they are melted and gooey.
- Spoon each melted candy bar into a different numbered diaper. Keep a secret master list of which candy bar is in which numbered diaper.
- Arrange the 'dirty' diapers on a table.
How to play
- Provide guests with paper and a pen. Instruct them to number their paper 1 through 5.
- Guests must examine each diaper by smelling, looking at, or even poking the 'mess' to identify the candy bar.
- They write their guess next to the corresponding number on their sheet.
- Once everyone has guessed, the host reads out the correct answers.
- The person with the most correct guesses wins. Warning: This game makes for hilarious photos!
Variations
- Taste Allowed: Allow brave guests to actually taste the chocolate to help them guess.
- Organic Messes: Use different pureed foods instead of chocolate bars for a healthier 'mess'.
