Baby Mug Shots
Guests match baby photos of the attendees to their current selves. A nostalgic icebreaker that gets everyone talking and laughing as they try to recognize each other as infants.
What you need
- Baby photos of all guests (collected in advance)
- Number stickers or labels
- Pre-printed answer sheets
- Pens or pencils
- A display board or large poster
- Thumb tacks or tape
Setup
- Before the shower, ask all guests to text or email a photo of themselves as a baby (preferably under 1 year old).
- Print the photos (if sent digitally) and attach them to a large display board.
- Place a numbered sticker (1, 2, 3...) prominently on each photo.
- Create an answer sheet with numbered blank lines matching the number of photos.
How to play
- Hand out the numbered answer sheets and pens to the guests as they arrive or during a dedicated game time.
- Guests mingle around the display board, scrutinizing the baby photos.
- They must write down the name of the guest they believe matches the corresponding baby picture.
- Once everyone has finished, the host gathers everyone around the board.
- The host points to each photo and asks, 'Who is number one?' before revealing the correct answer. The guest who correctly identifies the most babies wins.
Variations
- Celebrity Edition: If you can't collect photos from guests, use baby photos of famous actors, musicians, or historical figures instead.
- Parent Match: Use baby photos of the parents-to-be and their immediate family members, having guests guess who is who.
