Baby Bingo
Turns the often tedious gift-opening portion of the shower into an engaging, competitive game. Guests fill out bingo cards with items they think the parents will receive.
What you need
- Blank Baby Bingo cards (a 5x5 grid with a 'Free' space in the middle)
- Pens or markers for all guests
- Small prizes for the winners
Setup
- Print enough blank bingo cards for all guests.
- Distribute the cards and pens right before the parents-to-be sit down to open their gifts.
How to play
- Instruct guests to fill in the blank squares with gifts they predict the parents will open (e.g., Onesie, Teether, Blanket, Diapers, Pacifier, Books).
- As the parents open each gift, they announce what it is loudly to the room.
- Guests cross off the corresponding item on their card if they guessed correctly.
- The first guest to get five in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) and yells 'BINGO!' wins a prize.
- You can continue playing for second and third place, or play 'Blackout' (filling the whole card).
Variations
- Pre-filled Cards: To save time, print cards that already have common baby items filled in, randomizing the layout so no two cards are identical.
- Gift Wrap Bingo: Instead of the gift itself, guests guess the color of the wrapping paper or the type of bow.
- Themed Card Packs: Instead of blank cards, generate pre-filled cards from a themed word pool — Gifts, Animals, Colors, Nursery Rhymes, Space, or Ocean (24 words per pack, free space in the middle). Print a unique card for every guest, or one identical set for the whole room.
