Decade popularity explorer
Time-travel the charts, decade by decade.
What it does
The Decade popularity explorer shows the most popular catalog names of each era, built from the decade stamped on each name in the catalog. Pick a decade — the 1950s, the 1990s, and every era in between — filter by gender, and see that era's top names with their standing then versus now. Copy the list to keep it.
Who it’s for
Vintage hunters ("what did 1950s parents love?"), trend watchers, and anyone naming after a grandparent's generation.
How to use it, step by step
- Choose a decade from the selector (press / to jump straight to it).
- Filter by all genders, girls, or boys, and tap Explore decade.
- Read the era's top names with their now-versus-then context, and copy the list if it sparks a shortlist.
What you get
A ranked list of a decade's most popular catalog names, filterable by gender, with a copy button.

💡 Tips & tricks
- The sweet spot for "fresh but familiar" is often two decades back: last era's top names read as classics, not trends.
- Some decades have no stamped catalog names yet — the tool says so plainly instead of faking a list.
Enough reading — the tool itself is one tap away, and it is free.
