Guided discovery
Answer a few questions; the catalog narrows itself.
What it does
Guided discovery is a short quiz that filters the whole catalog for you: pick a gender preference (or none), a starting letter, a theme keyword (nature, classic, modern…), and an origin (hebrew, irish, arabic…). Instead of a results page of its own, it sends you to a filtered browse page with those constraints applied — so you land in the real catalog, already narrowed to names that fit.
Who it’s for
Anyone facing 50K+ names with only a vague sense of direction: "something nature-y, maybe Irish, starting with a vowel?"
How to use it, step by step
- Set a gender preference, or leave it at no preference.
- Add any filters you have: a starting letter, a theme keyword, an origin.
- Tap Show names to land on the filtered catalog browse page.
- Loosen one filter at a time if the results feel too narrow.
What you get
A trip to the catalog browse page with your quiz answers applied as filters.
✦ A worked example
You give itTheme: nature, origin: irish, no letter or gender constraint.
You getA browse page of Irish nature names only — a shelf you can actually finish browsing in one sitting.
💡 Tips & tricks

Enough reading — the tool itself is one tap away, and it is free.
