## 1. Nottingham records are restored — the audit trail is not

NUH says a human-error overwrite on 18 August hit maternity records from 2011–2022. Content was recovered. Who viewed the files during the gap was not. Police have been notified; they have not called it a crime. If you were a patient in that window, keep your own paperwork.

## 2. Water-bead party toys are still in houses

CPSC’s 17 September Toyworld168 Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun recall is easy to miss next to dressers and helmets. The beads expand past the legal size if swallowed. Bin the toy; do not cut it open over a play mat.

## 3. Worthing’s rating flip is now a week old — the theatre count is not

CQC published the Worthing maternity downgrade on 23–24 September: good to requires improvement, one obstetric theatre for planned and emergency sections, incomplete observations on sampled notes. Neonatal mortality there is below the national average. Both facts belong in the same conversation with a midwife, not a social-media scoreboard.

## 4. Unanchored dressers from 24 September

Yuyitop’s Aitjunz 8-drawer dressers fail STURDY if they are not wall-anchored. Tip-over remains a leading furniture killer for toddlers. If the unit is in a child’s room and you cannot find a stud, move the clothes out tonight and park the empty carcass until it is fixed or returned.
